Boasting a functional design with the basic dimensions of a classical violin, the Gewa Novita will feel familiar to any violinist. This new model even includes an adaptor so you can use any standard shoulder rest as well as an additional string so you can extend your range.
The matte satin varnish that Gewa uses adds a smart finish to the Novita. You can even see the grain of the wood through this varnish, which adds even more character to the instrument. To ensure you have the best possible experience, the Novita electric violin comes complete with high-end Wittner fittings and Thomastik-Infeld AlphaYue strings.

Amplify your tone
By using a Piezo pickup under the Teller bridge, the Novita violin will amplify and capture every critical detail of your performance. Thanks to the design of this pickup, it can be placed under either the left or right side of the bridge, depending on what sort of tone you wish to achieve.
On the rear side of the instrument are the outputs - a 6.35mm large jack output for use with most instrument amps, and a 3.5mm mini-jack for use with headphones. There is also a preamp, where volume is controlled along with bass and treble EQ controls. The battery compartment for the preamp is also located in the back of the instrument (battery not included).
Traditional materials - contemporary design
Although the Novita is a modern-looking violin, it is built to the same exacting standards as an acoustic instrument of the same level. Similar to traditional violins, the top is made from Spruce while the back and neck are made from Maple. The instrument is then finished with a matte satin varnish which really enhances the aesthetics of the violin.
When you have a quality instrument, you need quality fittings. This is why Gewa has used the best fittings from Wittner. When you receive your Novita violin, you will get Wittner geared tuning pegs, a Wittner Zurich chin rest, and a Wittner tailpiece. Thomastik Alphayue strings
The Thomastik Alphayue violin string set offers an alternative to standard solid-steel strings, assuring an instant response, supple playability, and colourful tone. This string set will make music-making great fun as the strings are capable of improving the sound of even the most basic student instrument. This set includes a combination of steel and synthetic cores and a variety of windings including tin-plated, aluminium, and silver. Featuring a medium tension gauge which offers optimum versatility, ideal for players who wish to concentrate on their own playing style. These strings all have ball ends which are suitable for musicians who require a reliable sound that maintains its voice over time.
