The Elkhart 100FLE Flute comes with a split E mechanism, resulting in a more secure and manageable lower E. Without the split E mechanism the note would sound faint and out of tune. The flute also comes with an offset G configuration which is better than the inline G key for smaller hands or younger students. The closed tone holes are ideal for players who are getting used to the instrument.
