This model has been designed for the professional player. Designed and engineered in collaboration with famous trumpeter Chris Jaudes, the JBX is the perfect trumpet for pit musicians in a theatre environment. The lightweight bell also makes the trumpet ideal for big bands and studio use due to the quick response time.
The the combination of a reversed leadpipe and the lightweight yellow brass on the JBX allows the instrument to be very free blowing which is ideal for heavy high register playing. When playing in the high register it is easy for the tone to get very harsh. The gold brass on the JBX darkens the sound, helping to achieve the upper octaves whilst not sounding too bright. Instead of curling the bell back for a standard rim, the JBX features a French bead rim. Not only is the more aesthetically pleasing but it also helps boost the projection of the sound - perfect for filling large theatres. On the main tuning slide, there is a single Amado-style water key. These water keys are ideal for environments with microphones as they are quieter than standard water keys.
The included double hard wood-shell case is ideal for travelling players. Whether you're going to school, rehearsal, gigs or concerts, this case will protect your trumpet from scratches and knocks, keeping your instrument looking, feeling, and sounding like new for longer. The JBX trumpet also comes with a mouthpiece, so players can start to practise as soon as the trumpet arrives. A maintenance care kit is included so players can maintain the high standards of their instrument for longer.
