Key Features
The IFi Pro iCAN Studio Analogue Headphone Amplifier is a premium headphone amplifier and high-end preamp. With its XBass correction system, it delivers authentic bass that augments your existing system without producing artificial bass which can degrade sound quality. It has multiple modes of operation including both Solid State and Tube modes, as well as a comprehensive range of XLR and TRS inputs with built-in IEMatch technology to match high-sensitivity headphones for an optimum listening experience.
Pro iCAN Studio also features 3D Holographic technology for both loudspeakers and headphones, as well as high-quality "New Old Stock" vacuum tubes for a natural warm tone. This is all complemented by a Quad-damped Isolation Base Mount that provides ultimate vibrational damping to control frequency dispersion while improving electromagnetic shielding. Additionally, it comes with an IR remote control receiver and DC-Loop Out for use with Pro iCAN Signature add-ons. Perfect for any serious music audiophile, the IFi Pro iCAN Studio Analogue Headphone Amplifier is sure to take you to new levels of listening immersion.

The Pro iCAN Signature boasts advanced analogue signal processing (ASP) circuitry, resulting in a superior sonic experience compared to Digital Signal Processing (DSP) systems. Its specially designed XBass correction system corrects bass deficiencies in headphones and loudspeakers while avoiding the artificial degradation of sound quality. Unlike conventional tone or loudness controls, it enables a maximum boost of up to 12dB, covering a broad frequency range from 0.5Hz to 500kHz(-3dB). With an array of features and exceptional sound performance, the Pro iCAN Signature guarantees to enhance your listening experience!
With three settings, you can augment the sound of your loudspeakers and headphones to suit the needs of your listening material. 10Hz, 20Hz and 40Hz settings let you adjust the amount of low-end is augmented in your music, all without degrading the sound quality or adding artificial bass.
The Pro iCAN Signature is equipped with three distinct modes of operation: Solid State Mode, Tube Mode and Tube+ Mode. Solid State Mode is a completely discrete Class A signal path that utilizes J-FETs in a pure solid-state circuit. Tube Mode improves on this by incorporating two NOS GE5670s with J-FET circuitry out for a valve Class A operation. Tube+ Mode reduces negative feedback to a minimum, resulting in a greater amount of natural harmonics produced by the tubes, dominated by Even Order harmonics.
Solid-State and Tubes can be enjoyed in a single package, rather than as an added effect type. The ability to switch between modes in real time allows for a personalized listening experience tailored to the recording. While Solid-State may offer a more lively sound for some recordings and headphones/loudspeakers, Tube and Tube+ modes, especially Tube+, may sound more luxurious. Above all, the enjoyment of music is a sensorial experience to be savoured, not a scientific research exercise.
An extremely powerful tool for shaping how you hear music, Pro iCAN comes with 3D Holographic technology for both headphone and loudspeaker use. An analog matrix to rectify the sonic impact of listening to music on headphones which has been mixed on loudspeakers, 3D Holographic audio can localise and centre your head for a more pleasing and accurate listening experience. Where other systems are DSP-based, Holographic is not based on a standard cross-feed system. Unlike DSP-based systems which artificially create space, Holographic renders the full sound field in a manner which parallels listening to loudspeakers in a room, all without adding unwanted reverb or fictitious space.
Coming with three degrees of angle, you simulate the traditional placement of loudspeakers in a room from narrow to distant to help tailor perfectly to your music of the moment.
For loudspeakers, Holographic serves two functions: correcting the fundamental spatial distortion in stereo recordings and increasing the width of the soundstage dictated by loudspeaker placement.
The 'Off' setting disables the holographic effect and allows for an accurate judgment of the direct sound. When set to '+', this matrix corrects any spatial distortion that might have occurred during the recording/mixing/mastering process and restores the original soundstage width. In '30+' mode, the matrix corrects spatial distortion as before, while also adding approximately 30 degrees to the soundstage's apparent width. This feature allows narrow-spaced loudspeakers to extend beyond their physical boundaries. Similarly, in '60+' mode, the matrix corrects spatial distortion caused by recording/mixing/mastering and adds roughly 60 degrees to the soundstage's width. This mode is particularly suitable for users who prefer the 'wide' placement of loudspeakers, which is a favoured configuration for some audiophiles.
