Every instrument imagineable
MSoundFactory encompasses hundreds of pre-defined instruments that can be selected via the global presets, just as any other sampler would. This is only the beginning though and MSoundFactory provides you with near-limitless control over the settings and parameters of each instrument, enabling it to become a fully-formed part of your creative workflow.
With everything from electronic 808-style basses to sampled acoustic grand pianos, organs and more, no matter what style of music you like to produce, there is something for everyone. Just like all other Melda plug-ins, it's constantly being updated with more and more instruments, ensuring your plug-in will only get better with age. Best of all, these updates are free-for-life, meaning you don't need to spend any more money than you already have to unlock an ever-growing collection of sounds.
Easy-to-use modular engine
Behind the interface of every instrument in MSoundFactory, you can add as many modules as you need with the plug-in automatically connecting each piece for you. Using this, you can enhance, transform or reshape the sound and response of any instrument you need with tools from wavetables, oscillators, filters and even per-voice effects. Nothing is off limits!
Global FX engine
Containing not only instruments but effects, MSoundFactory is arguably the most inclusive plug-in available. Nearly all Melda plug-ins are available, enabling you to add in compressors, EQs, reverbs, delays, modulation, panning, pitch, distortion effects and more all without ever leaving the plug-in. Of course, any multi-band plug-in is also available for incredibly precise sound design over frequency-specific regions in your instrument. With this level of unrivalled flexibility, you can even insert an instance of MSoundFactory inside the FX engine for multiple modular racks in one plug-in.
Delightfully analog
All of the virtual instruments based on classic hardware synthesizers or drum machines feature authentic and automatic analog drift. Just like the real thing, analog drift introduces uncertainty and 'mojo' into every note you play. Additionally, each analog-modelled device also features authentic parameter settings, where your display readout may not translate to the exact value. 3dB boosts will move depending on the incoming audio source, 1kHz may read slightly differently for different inputs, perfect for adding realism and movement to your sounds. This can be disabled in preference of more precise digital control, also reducing CPU along the way.
Modulation madness
Multiple ways to modulate inside of the Dual Modulation Engine is perfect for electronic sound design with the onboard synthesizer instruments. There are global modulators which can be used to affect any parameter globally across the entire instrument, affecting each voice. Secondly, MSoundFactory features per-voice modulation. Here, these can be used to effect settings and parameters via the modulation mixing matrix, using everything from envelopes, LFOs, randomizers, note parameters, MIDI controllers or just about anything else you can think of.
Build your own synth
If the huge number of synth instruments just aren't cutting it for you, nothing is stopping you from creating your own sounds! Employing all of the building blocks to creating a synth, MSoundFactory is jam-packed with aliasing-free oscillators, analog-modelled filters, FM synthesis, physical modelling techniques and much more. Just like the pre-created instruments, this list will only grow over time, implementing more physical modelling techniques and sounds, letting your plug-in grow with your music.
Advanced sampling
Do you have recordings of your favourite percussion? Drum kit? Piano? Load them into MSoundFactory and watch them come to life as their very own instruments. Extremely advanced, the sampler inside MSoundFactory features unlimited regions to load your samples with an unlimited range of alternative hits you can assign along with crossfading and looping functionality.
Creating a virtual instrument has never been easier than with MSoundFactory. Various utilities from sample cutting, layering, playback generators and multi-microphone syncing all let you build your sounds from the ground up!
