Synthogy Ivory II Studio Grands is a library of two grand pianos recorded in professional studios. Each piano is recorded with detail and meticulous levels of care, up to 24 layers of velocity are included as well as multiple levels of Una Corda and release samples. These extra levels of detail would be really appreciated if you are a performer or producer who is very used to pianos and their intricacies. The Ivory II piano engine is compatible with any of Synthogy's piano VSTs and is almost unrivalled in its level of detail and realism. The library includes two pianos for you to choose from. The first piano included is a Steinway B grand piano recorded at Power Station New England studios in Waterford, Connecticut. This was recorded in cooperation with Steinway who had technicians prepare, regulate and voiced the piano especially for the recording session. They also provided onsite tuning for the whole session, ensuring that the samples captured were of the highest quality. If you are a fan of the sound of Steinways then this faithful capturing of the sound will be immensely satisfying to you.
The Bösendorfer 225 is the second piano recorded for this library, it possesses a deep and resonant tone. A slightly longer than normal grand, this instrument has four additional keys in the bass, providing extra range in the bass registers of the instrument. A wonderful thing to have if you like the thunderous low register of the grand piano. The piano was recorded at Firehouse Recording Studios in Pasadena, California. With professionals on hand at all times to get the perfect capture of the piano.
