From Ember To Inferno
Setting the foundation of any song, the bass is what carries the energy of the track and works alongside the drums to form a formidable rhythm section. Trivium's Paolo Gregoletto is known for his thunderous bass tone that has a pronounced and consistent low end with just enough top-end sizzle and "clang" to cut through heavy metal guitars. The Trivium Bassknob plugin encompasses this tonal ethos, ensuring that no matter what bass guitar you're playing through and what your setup is, you can cut through with a bright, clear and powerful tone.
Coming with both a pristine clean tone and a "drive" mode, you can add saturation, harmonics and overall snarl to your bass tone with the distortion, helping to glue your bass with distorted guitars and fill out the midrange with rich gain.
Capture your creativity
Never lose your basslines or riffs ever again. Equipped with a built-in recording function in standalone mode, Trivium Bassknob lets you capture your creativity without ever opening a DAW, meaning you will never lose your musical ideas again! Whether you're jamming over tracks at home or creating music with your bandmates, save your recordings and call them back later!
Bass playing essentials
Not content with just providing you with immaculate bass guitar tone, Bogren Digital have included everything a bass player could need inside a plugin. A built-in tuner has been included, ensuring that you can play along to your favourite tracks and albums or record your own ideas without any sour notes spoiling the fun!
A rhythm section of a band wouldn't be complete without the drummer, but let's say you want to rehearse at home or on the road. Bogren Digital have included a metronome inside Trivium Bassknob's standalone mode, letting you adjust the meter, accent or set automatic speed increments to practise along to and hone your craft, without needing a real drummer!
The future of speaker modelling with IRDX technology
The Trivium Ampknob Bass plug-in utilises IRDX (Impulse Response Dynamix) technology, which takes speaker modelling to the next level. Developed by producer Jens Bogren, this advanced technology adds dynamic and true-to-life speaker behaviour to static impulse responses. While impulse responses are excellent at capturing the tonality and resonance of a guitar cabinet, they lack dynamics. IRDX technology bridges this gap by simulating the natural reaction of real-life guitar speakers to the input from the amplifier. The result is an amp simulator that reacts like a real amp, seamlessly fits into any mix without sounding stale, and feels great to play through.
