Washburn Heritage F11S Acoustic, Natural Overview
The Washburn Heritage F11S Acoustic guitar is an articulate and bright folk-sized instrument. Favoured because of its softer nature, western red cedar produces sweet, harmonic sounds which are perfect for creating rich, warm melodies and also providing a great degree of visual beauty. The top is backed up superbly by the mahogany body, which is one of the most popular tonewoods for acoustics because of its ability to induce warmth and feel in a guitar's sound. It gives the F11S a nice 'twang' whilst still helping it to keep a balanced tonal range.
Smaller Body, Bigger Sound
It has a folk sized body, which is slightly smaller than other guitar bodies, and will sound great with folk style finger picking because of the added articulation the smaller body offers. As the Washburn tortoise pickguard would suggest, though, it also sounds beautiful when strumming with a pick, so it also promotes flexibility in your playing regardless of what style of music you wish to perform.
An ovangkol fretboard coupled with a satin mahogany neck add to the overall comfort and ease of playing which you'll experience with this guitar. This makes it incredibly easy to switch between all chords/notes, and the Graphtec Nubone nut also provides effective string damping properties and tonal enhancement.
It's a Looker
Coming with a natural colour and glossy finish, the F11S Acoustic exudes charm and quality. The tone created by the woods and bracing is known to improve with age, so you'll finding it sounding sweeter and sweeter the more you play.
