Key Features
Larger than life tones in a compact size. Meet the Tech 21 DI-2112 SansAmp Geddy Lee. This pedal is an absolute must-have for any bassist. There's a good reason why the man himself hasn't performed on-stage with an amplifier since 1996!
The collaboration between Tech 21 and Geddy Lee commenced in 2018 when creating the highly popular "GED-2112". The company managed to distill his unique tone into a handy rack mountable unit that was ideal for touring. This time they've taken it a step further with the GLPDI.
The GLPDI combines practicality with versatility. When using the pedal you'll find it's just as comfortable in the studio as it is on the road! Thanks to the whole host of knobs you'll be able to sculpt and shape your sound to achieve a wide array of unique tones. With this pedal in your rig, it'll feel like all the world's a stage!

The "Drive" feature of the DI-2112 allows you to achieve a seemingly infinite amount of tones by simply adjusting the knob. You'll discover that when engaging saturation at a low-level they'll be a subtle increase in harmonics. This is a particularly useful tool to have when you're performing dense arrangements and need your bass to cut through the wall of guitars to be heard.
Increasing the level of saturation emulates the sound of classic tube distortion. You'll notice the signal begins to naturally compress itself at high volumes. Not only does this sound great on bass. It makes the pedal an incredible asset to have in the studio for re-amplifying signals. Create parallel feeds of drums, guitars and vocals to add energy and excitement to your mixes!
When adding saturation to your bass signal, although it sounds great, too much can diminish the low-frequency content. The GLPDI renders this issue a thing of the past. Thanks to the handy blend knob, you're able to achieve the perfect balance between your wet and dry signal. Your bass will sound deep and resonant whilst still having the desired amount of grit.
Take this manipulation further with the onboard three-band equaliser. The semi-fixed state of the equaliser is incredibly useful. It is designed to instantly address the frequency bands that contribute to creating a great tone. Don't overthink it. Jump right in and get crafting today!
