The Tanglewood TW9 features an elegant super folk body shape. This curvy body is flexible enough to be comfortable to both male and female players, while its nipped in waist is perfect for folk players and fingerstylists.

Mahogany Body

As well as its elegant curves, this stunning guitar is crafted from mahogany, and provides a superb grain and a great tone. Mahogany is a dense wood capable of delivering a warm and woody tone with a slightly emphasised mid range. Mahogany also offers a balanced tone that accommodates a versatile range of different playing styles, and is a great choice for those looking for one instrument that can handle many styles from fingerstyle to strumming.

B-Band M450T Electronics

For added volume at bigger events, the Tanglewood TW9 Super Folk is equipped with a pickup and preamp, along with a host of control options. A discreet sidemounted EQ is located on the upper bout, and features a 4-band EQ, as well as a chromatic tuner with slider controls.

D’Addario EXP11 Strings

The TW9 Super Folk is also equipped with a set of EXP11 strings which deliver the ideal balance of volume, projection and comfortable playability. These high-quality, coated strings are crafted from plain steel, with a hexagonal cores made of High Carbon Steel, manufactured New York. Each string is highly engineered, break-resistant, and delivers unprecedented strength and pitch stability, as well as a long-lasting tone.
