You are worthy. Take centre-stage with an axe born to lead. The Jackson MJ SL2 Soloist is a professional axe with a powerful feature set to match. Its pair of Seymour Duncan humbucking pickups provide the very best in punchy, rock and metal distortion, perfect for crushing chords and soulful solos alike. Meanwhile the quartersawn maple neck is reinforced with graphite rods, meaning you can be sure of rock-solid tuning and intonation in all situations.
Steal the show. Nothing adds excitement to a solo like a whammy bar, and the Gotoh double-locking tremolo system installed in the MJ Series Soloist is one of the best available. From outlandish divebombs to lush, subtle vibrato, the SL2's world-class tuning is constant thanks to the matching Gotoh locking nut and tuners. And with a fitted, foam core case included as standard, this is a tour-grade Jackson Soloist that's ready for the road.

A neck for all occasions. While the Jackson MJ Soloist has been specifically crafted with fleet-fingered virtuoso playing in mind, its ebony fretboard's compound radius ensures comfortable chords lower down the neck too. So, what is a compound radius fingerboard? Every fingerboard is slightly humped down its centre, with flatter surfaces being ideal for shredding, and rounder ones more suited to barre chords and rhythm playing.
The SL2's compound radius, in essence, means you get two for the price of one. At the nut end of the neck, the fingerboard has a tight, 12" radius, meaning it fits perfectly in your hand as you tear through riff after riff. Up at the neck joint, the radius is a much flatter 16", which is perfect for intricate sweep-picking, pinpoint-accurate tapping, and crystal-clear, soulful bends. Every base covered.
It's all in the details. Every stage of this Soloist's creation was aimed at one goal - outstanding tone. The choice of pickups is a key decision in any guitar build. With heavy rock and metal styles always at the forefront of their minds, Jackson went straight to the source - a pair of Seymour Duncan humbuckers.
They chose SD's JB model for the bridge. It's a high-output humbucker that's just made for distortion. With full, thick lows, outstanding top end clarity, and an upper midrange push that's ideal for crushing crunch and overdrive, it's easy to see why the JB is Seymour Duncan's most popular model. The '59 neck pickup compliments this perfectly, with a slightly lower output, and a warm, silky tone that's just crying out for soulful lead licks.
Born for the stage. This guitar stands apart from the rest, with superb attention to detail having gone into its design and construction. One of the rarities to be made in the illustrious Japanese factory, it represents the top of Jackson's stock range. The sound, feel, playability, components, and the looks - everything comes together perfectly to bring you a real masterpiece. Use it for recording, playing live, rehearsing, or even just to look at. This guitar excels in every way.
