The solid spruce top brings balance to the large body and thick strings, to create a truly balanced acoustic bass tones. Ideal for a range of genres, this acoustic bass includes a Fishman pickup system which makes this instrument convenient whether you are on stage, in the studio or rehearsing. The string through bridge configuration of the american black walnut bridge makes for easy string changes, as well allowing the top to resonate freely and provide improved projection.

Produced in Indonesia by master craftsmen, the Hartwood Villanelle range offers quality construction matched with carefully selected high grade materials. The solid spruce has been chosen to provide sound that emphasise mid-range to bring out the detail of this instruments sound. The choice of solid spruce is also paired with mahogany back and sides to give you an instrument which is built to last and sounds great.

Mahogany Neck and American Black Walnut Fingerboard

Constructed from Mahogany, the Villanelle's neck offers a quick and dynamic response. Known for its reliability, this wood has been used on high grade guitar necks for years, making it a worthy addition to the Hartwood Villanelle. Furthermore, the neck is topped with an American black walnut fingerboard, adding a mellow, warm tone to the guitar's overall sound. Plug-in with a Fishman Preamp

Equipped with Fishman electronics, you can take the Hartwood Villanelle to the stage. With an included 9v battery you can transform your guitar, all you need to do is plug-in and play. You can also achieve perfect tuning with a convenient, inbuilt tuning system. Featured on the side of the guitar you can quickly make adjustments whether you are performing acoustically or amplified, offering easy tuning on the go. Additionally, the Fishman preamp also features controls for contour and phase. This allows you to enhance your sound easily and quickly.
