The maple neck is shaped into a modern “C”, fitting perfectly into the palm of your hand. This way, you can play every riff, chord, and solo with total control and precision. Satin-finished on the back and glossed on the front – all surfaces of the fretboard and neck are distinctively sleek. What this means, is that your fingers will soar across the maple surface whilst movement of your hand will remain fluid across the back of the neck, ideal for fast playing. A storied history, a bright future
At the turn of the '60s the Fender Jazz Bass was born. After the domination of the P Bass throughout the '50s, Fender decided to extend their bass range to feature the more stylish and deluxe Jazz Bass. With its new pickup design, the Jazz bass offered much more tonal versatility than the Precision bass. You didn't just get a single sound, you got an entire palette of bass tones. Bass playing would no longer be a way to add low end to the mix, with the Jazz Bass, it became an experience.
