The Hellraiser Extreme guitar has a body constructed from high quality Mahogany to produce powerful tones. The body is then topped with quilted maple, creating a visually stunning look that is both stylish and unique. The Mahogany body offers naturally rich, warm tones, with a balance of grind and bite to create tights lows and appealing highs. The wood provides the guitar with an excellent amounts of depth and helps produce an incredible sustain. The bass also features Schecter’s custom bass bridge, black chrome hardware, and a see-thru black finish that shows off the natural figuring of the maple top.
The Maple/Walnut neck and Ebony fingerboard has been designed with a thin "C" shape for a smooth, fast play. Using both Maple and Walnut for the neck gives the guitar’s tone bright characteristics, with plenty of warmth to it. The two woods work together to produce frim lows, sizzling highs, and a snappy attack in the mids. Adding an Ebony fingerboard adds tightness to the guitars tone, giving it definition, along with a muscular, controlled bass and snappy sizzling highs. The bass guitar also comes with many other features, including Schecter tuners, a Graph Tech nut, and mother of pearl gothic cross inlays on the fretboard.
The Schecter Hellraiser features a set of EMG’s 40TW soapbars which feature two independent tonal options that can be switched via the push-pull pots. The featured single coil is the EMG JSC which uses ceramic magnets to produce a rich warm tone. The humbucker mode offers EMG’s popular CS dual coil pickup, designed with ceramic steel magnets to produce a big, aggressive tone with a focused midrange. The two volume controls feature a push/pull function to switch between the two modes, allowing the guitar to provide the rich clarity of a J pickup to the fatness of the CS humbucker.
