In the car world, the coupé is a streamlined vehicle with great looks and high-performance capabilities. In the same way, the Schecter Coupe has classic good looks with a streamlined single cutaway design and a classy aesthetic. These good looks are combined with a high performance fast-spec neck for effortless playability. The Schecter Coupe can deliver an authentic vintage tonality combined with a modern playing feel for the best of old and new.
Filter'tron pickups were originally conceived to remove the 60-cycle electrical hum of single coil pickups. In achieving this, they brought a new and distinct tonality that combined the warm humbucking tone of a PAF with the brightness and clarity of a single coil.
The Schecter Coupe is loaded with Tesla FilterTron TV-ML1 pickups to deliver authentic vintage tones with a familiar and classic aesthetic. They provide the ideal tonality for clean jazz, rockabilly, blues and rock, and carve their own signature tonality between humbuckers and single coils.
A true Bigsby tremolo gives the ability to create a subtle vibrato effect on single notes and chords. It is gold-plated to match the rest of the gold hardware, which makes a classy contrast to the black body and neck. The Schecter Coupe has open-gear Grover tuners giving both vintage aesthetics with modern stability. The controls, pickups, tremolo, and tuners are all gold coloured which provides a uniform and elegant look on the Coupe.
Don't let the vintage looks fool you – the Coupe is a modern feeling guitar. The Coupe has a comfortable maple neck in a 'C' profile that sits confidently in the left hand. The fingerboard has a modern 12'' radius for a balance between comfortable chords and easy soloing. The frets are extra-jumbo for a superior grip on the strings, delivering effortless playability and the ability to set up a low string action.
