Key Features
The Roland AIRA bundle is perfect for producers who want to be able to perform live music, with real-time controls they can manipulate on the fly. Roland have developed ACB (Analog Circuit Behaviour) which not only sounds analog, but reacts like it. The TR-8 features incredibly accurately synthesised 808 and 909 drum sounds, which work perfectly with the TB-3. The Bass sounds from the TB-3 are fat and warm, but also go from clean to distorted using the built in FX unit. To finish the bundle off we have included the ingeniously simple VT-3, which will take your voice from sounding like the Beasties Boys, all the way through to Daft Punk.

Since the TR-808 and TR-909 machines were first released in the '80s, they've become some of the most influential drum sounds in modern music. Used not just in dance tracks but across genres from Rap, House, Techno and Trance, they have earned their place in music culture.
Elevating that standard with genre-defining sounds and classic effects, triggered by solid, intuitive performance controls, the TR-8 Rhythm Performer presents unprecedented live pattern manipulation, ready to make its mark on the next 30 years.
Faithful, Familiar Sound
The Roland technicians have obsessively recreated every detail and nuance of the analog circuitry of their legendary rhythm machines. The AIRA TR-8 contains the boom and snap of the 808, the thud of the 909 and the robotic click of an 808 rim shot or a classic 909 snare roll. It's all here, fully reproduced based on the original design specification sheets, using newly-developed Analog Circuit Behaviour technology.
It's not just the familiar sounds that are there. Evolved for today's players, the Roland TR-8 features Tune and Decay knobs, with dedicated Attack and Comp knobs for the Bass and Snare drum modules, providing you with a greater variety of tone whether you want subtle, ambient percussion to pounding dance grooves.
There are 16 kits and 11 instrument types and the ability to mix sources connected to the external inputs. Two assignable analog outputs and full parallel outputs via USB provide total mixing flexibility.
While the new, unique Scatter function and per-step effects take the TR-8 into uncharted territory, the tweaking capabilities breathe new life into the sounds you know and love, inspired by an army of users.
Feel the Beat
Carefully designed from the ground up, the TR-8 is an instrument to be played. Every control has a solid, predictable feel, with each drum instrument having robust and, most importantly, playable faders.
When performing, lit knobs and RGB-lit buttons give real-time performance feedback and a striking on-stage presence.
The TB-303 has evolved into the Roland AIRA TB-3, engineered for today's players but keeping in mind its lineage as one of the staples of electronic music.
Since the '80s, the TB-303 has been a prime element in the creation of groundbreaking electronic dance tracks. Cherished so much by inventive musicians, it's not only been used to write hits, but had a song written about it!
Faithfully Recreated Sounds
The AIRA TB-3 emulates the individual circuit behaviour that has made the TB-303 an indispensible bass synth. Crafted using the original specification sheets, with fully reproduced saw-tooth and square-wave oscillators, as well as the -18dB/octave ladder low pass filter used in the original, the TB-3 captures the unmistakable cutoff and resonance. Every aspect of the TB-303 sound is there.
Loaded with 134 sounds, the TB-3 contains not only faithful reproductions of sought-after 303 tones but living, breathing bubbling synth basses, hard distortion basses, trippy delays and drippy effects.
Unique Feel
The unique Roland TB Bass Line not only sounds unique, it has an unmistakable feel too. The Accent, Slide and Step Sequencer behave just like they did on the original TB-303. But the TB-3 is not a copy. Engineers have worked on evolving the TB-3 so it's fit for today's players and futureproofed with a pressure sensitive Touch Pad and dedicated Tempo control with Shuffle and Tap Tempo.
Brightly lit in green and red, the TB-3's Touch Pad lets you seamlessly create patterns and interact with the unit during performance. Tweak pitch, volume, filters and control modulation just by pressing on the pad. Finger gestures control transpose, switch and chain patterns, and the Touch Pad is partitioned with keyboard spaces making it natural and intuitive to play.
AIRA Series Compatibility
Designed to play seamlessly with the other products in the Roland AIRA series, the TB-3 can sync with each of them as well as other external devices. The TB-3 can also send and receive Audio and MIDI data using a USB connection to your computer.
Not just for achieving that robot voice effect, the VT-3 allows you to alter Pitch and Formant with dedicated sliders and has the power to turn your voice into synths, synth basses, hard-tuned and lo-fi vocals. If you want a more subtle and musical vibe, the VT-3 Vocal Transformer features a built-in reverb, smooth Wet/Dry fader control and instant bypass.
Superior AIRA Hardware
Like all the Roland AIRA Series, high quality specs, a sturdy interface and brightly-lit controls combine to make the VT-3 built for creative speed and live performance.
The controls and functions are smooth and immediate. You can take your mind off any popping, clicking or latency issues, even when switching presets or changing voice characters, and concentrate on producing a smooth, polished show.
The VT-3 weighs less than a kilogram. The slimline design lets you take it anywhere, it's great for podcasts and live streaming use.
9 Types of Voice Characters
Add lo-fi character into your performance with the Megaphone and Radio settings, or use the Robot button for synthetic-sounding vox. The Vocoder allows you to create VP-330-style sounds without the need for a keyboard and you can sing with the VP-3's Synth, Lead and Bass. Scatter provides a glitchy, broken voice effect, or access refined Pop and Electro sounds with the two Auto-Pitch effects.
