Key Features
The Novation ZeRO SL MkII MIDI controller gives you complete control over your music-making software. Each of the 56 knobs, faders and buttons controls the things in your software that you need them to. It can also directly control your plug-in instruments and FX, giving an extraordinary amount of power and control for such a lightweight package.
Product Ref: 13761
The ZeRO SL MkII has 8 faders, 8 encoders, 8 pots, 32 assignable buttons and a crossfader. The 8 triggerpads can be re-assigned, and 6 of the buttons can be switched into transport mode so you can play, stop, record and loop as well as navigate backwards and forwards in your session.
As with all Novation controllers, the ZeRO SL MkII comes with Automap control software included. The instant mapping means that using the array of controls doesn't have to be difficult and time-consuming, and you can immediately get hands-on with your DAW and plug-ins.
The large, 144-character LCD screen displays the name and value of entire rows of knobs, faders or buttons so you can instantly see what each control is assigned to. It lines up with the controls so you can easily identify each control without looking at the software GUI. The controls are also touch-sensitive so you can bring up the information on the LCD screen by simply touching the control you are interested in, without having to move it and lose your settings.
The controller has illuminated controls that provide feedback information. LED rings around encoders tell you the position of your filter cutoff, while back-lit buttons indicate whether or not a track is muted.
Novation have worked with major music software manufacturers to ensure the ZeRO SL MkII works with all major DAWs, including Ableton, Cubase/Nuendo, Logic and Pro Tools. It has also been designed to give you full control of third-party plug-in instruments and effects, like Native Instruments, UAD or FXpansion.
Expand the possibilities by taking advantage of the stack of free software and sounds that come with the ZeRO including Ableton Live Lite music-making software, Novation Bass Station bass synth, Loopmasters sample library and Mike The Drummer, 502 MB of live drum loops and breaks.
