Product Ref: 52894
Ableton's Push has 64 velocity sensitive pads that give you countless ways of producing beats. Adjust sounds and kits while you play with eight touch-sensitive endless encoders. Hold a pad to repeat notes in time with your track while adjusting swing or the repeat divisions in real time. Step sequence beats directly using the pads for precise control. Select any step and tweak timing, velocity, and parameter values individually for each cell and see velocity and accents for each step shown on the Push's pads. Plus, select which bar of your loop you want to sequence or adjust the length of the loop. Play, step sequence and adjust your loop all at the same time!
Push's note entry layout can bring new inspiration when creating music, providing a new way to play both notes and chords. Push's 64 pads provide a keyboard's worth of notes when playing instruments. You can select a key and scale and the pads will show you the key centre, other notes in that key and notes you've already recorded. Other notes are unlit - or can be hidden altogether for purely diatonic playing. You can easily span large intervals and play melody and chord patterns using the same fingerings in every key. Add colour using Push's touch slider for pitch bend.
Push's step sequencer can be used with melodies or harmonies and allows you to easily edit or delete notes in order to fix mistakes or create variations. You can nudge single notes or chords for precise timing changes or adjust note length and velocity. Hold a step while adjusting an encoder to record a parameter's value for only that step and create rhythmic, quantized parameter changes that are locked to specific notes in your loop.
Ableton Push is the perfect way to capture all your musical ideas and experiment with variations and song structure. The unique recording workflow makes it easy to capture everything, then overdub, create variations or edit quickly using only a few buttons. Then switch to another mode and try them out in even more combinations.
For detailed arranging, editing and exporting switch from Push to your computer to find your music already laid out in the included Ableton Live. Push gives you the best of both worlds - hands on creativity followed by in depth fine tuning.
The Push has been engineered by experienced controller makes, Akai Professional. It has been designed to offer extreme sensitivity for nuanced playing and a deep, solid feel for beatmaking. The 64 pads are velocity and pressure sensitive, multicoloured RGB light-up. The layout adapts to match the track you have selected. The touchstrip has 24 LEDs for pitch bend and navigating through drum racks. There's also 11 touch sensitive endless encoders and a four line LCD display that adapts to show the important parameters you're working on. This laptop sized controller also has connections for USB, footswitches and additional power.
If you've used music software before, you're already familiar with one half of Ableton Live. Live's Arrangement View is a familiar working space: time moves from left to right, while tracks are stacked vertically.
But Live also features the revolutionary Session View: a unique sketchpad for improvising, playing and performing with musical ideas, without the constraints of the timeline. Freely and independently start and stop any number of audio or MIDI loops - everything stays in sync. Almost everything in Live works in real-time - add, reorder or remove devices, play with Live's flexible track routing and more - all without interrupting your creative flow.
The new Ableton Live 9 has a host of new features. Record automation into clips. Edit automation with curves. Session View automation lets you capture your performance or add movement to your loops. Use curves to make automation more musical.
Live's unique Session View makes it easy to improvise with musical ideas. In Live 9, you can now record parameter changes directly into Session View for even more flexibility. Edit automation curves with the mouse to create smooth mix transitions or radical parameter changes in your clips.
In one click, create new Session View scenes from your Arrangement tracks, or drag and copy individual clips from Arrangement to Session. The automation comes with them, making it easier than ever to move from improvising to arranging and back.

Get your sound right.
The new analog-modeled Glue Compressor and redesigned studio effects help you get a better sound in less time. Live's new Glue Compressor, developed in collaboration with Cytomic, is modeled on a classic 80s console bus compressor, both for its great sound and also to provide musical results with a simple set of controls. Live's studio effects - Compressor, Gate and EQ Eight - have been improved with new displays, enhanced controls and better sound, making it easier to see and hear your changes.
Reclaim the music in your samples....
Live 9's new tools for converting audio to MIDI give you unprecedented flexibility to extract musical ideas from your samples and build upon them.
