With its See Thru Blue Burst finish, Ebony fingerboard and mother of pearl offset dot inlays, this guitar is very good looking. Featuring the Duncan Designed version of the extremely popular Seymour Duncan Blackouts active humbucker, the Schecter Blackjack SLS Avenger creates more lows, more highs, and more tone than other active pickups. The Blackjack SLS Avenger also features Grover tuners with an improved higher ratio gearing for finer tuning and greater stability.

The Ebony fretboard has a snappy, crisp attack with the density of Maple, but with more brittle grains. The stray overtones are absorbed into the oily pours, making the sound richer than that of a Maple fingerboard. The Maple neck will withstand the test of time and usage as it has less reaction from environmental changes than other hardwoods. The Blackjack SLS Avenger (Slim Line Series) is a lighter, more agile feeling guitar with an ultra-thin profile.
