The Attractive Double Cutaway TE4CP Electric Bass

The TE4CP Electric Bass features a double cutaway design which allows easier access to the higher frets. The simple yet attractive metallic copper finish offers a classic look, which is contrasted with the black hardware. Founded in England in the late 20th century, Tanglewood's aim was to create a range of instruments that deliver an excellent tone and playability while offering brilliant value for money. The TE4CP is inspired by modern and traditional designs which are usually found on much more expensive instruments.

Maple Neck Delivers Bright Characteristics

Maple is a dense and hard tonewood that produces bright, twangy tones. The maple neck and fingerboard add tightness as well as a sizzling high end, and firmness in the low end. The mids tend to be more snappy and punchy when the strings are hit hard but they have excellent clarity with light or medium pick work.

Basswood Body Offers Smooth Sound

Basswood has a balanced and warm tone with a strong mid range. It is a lightweight wood which gives it extra mobility and comfort when performing. Although it is light, basswood has good structural stability which means it will resist small knocks and bumps. Basswood is ideal for loud high gain tones when used as a body material. Basswood produces a smooth sound which resonates and is equipped with a moderate attack.

Rosewood Fingerboard Emphasises Warm & Spacious Sound

Rosewood is a warm and sweet sounding tonewood which produces rich tones and levels out harshness in the high end. Rosewood is also very durable which is important when investing money and time into an instrument.

Hardware

The TE4CP has Deluxe die cast machine heads, two JHW4 passive pickups, D'Addario EXL-170 strings, 24 frets, One volume control and two tonal controls. The two JHW4 pickups deliver a wide mid range and produce a bright tone, they are epoxy sealed for extra hum cancelling.

D'Addario strings are known worldwide for their high-quality guitar and bass strings. Each string has excellent clarity and incredible consistency. Each string is wound with nickel plated steel wire delivering a bright tone and excellent output, for a versatile performance.
