The FSR MIJ Traditional Stratocaster features a body made from lightweight basswood, providing a comfortable and effortless playability with a unique tonal density for classic fender tones. The body is finished with chrome hardware and a beautifully vibrant candy tangerine finish, creating a truly stunning and eye-catching aesthetic. The Fender Special Run Strat also features a vintage-style synchronised tremolo, enhancing string stability and offering classic pitch shifting effects.
The FSR Strat features a classic maple neck and fingerboard, with a ‘’U’’ shaped profile ideal for guitarists who play with their thump on the back or side of the neck. The maple tonewood provides the Fender with a beautifully bright characteristic, tightening up the overall tones and delivering plenty of cut and bite. Using maple for both the neck and fingerboard provides players with a sharp, clear punch when the strings are hit hard, while light to medium picking brings out the subtler tones of the maple.
Equipped with a set of powerful vintage-style single-coil Strat pickups, the Traditional 60s Stratocaster delivers beautifully vintage tones suitable for a wide variety of playing styles. The pickups offer plenty of sustain to ensure each note sings, while its bell-like character and excellent articulation makes the guitar perfect for creating epic solos and massive soundscapes. Use the master volume and 2 x tone controls to dial in the perfect sound for any situation, and flick between pickups with the high quality 5-way switch.
Along with its amazing tone and looks, the Fender FSR MIJ Strat also features a bone nut which adds to its classic aesthetic. The main purpose of using a bone nut, compared to modern materials, is the bone offers excellent resonance and sustain. A bone nut also delivers a very balanced tone and will last a long time. In addition, this type of nut naturally self-lubricates and helps the guitar to stay in tune for longer.
Fender Japan was established as a way for Fender to market their guitars to the Japanese market, allowing for the creation of low cost Fender guitars that still possess the high expectations and build quality of their American counterparts. Japan is often considered to be one of the leading places in the world for guitar manufacturing, although most of the guitars produced are not sold in the UK, the FSR MIJ series allows players to purchase an exceptionally high quality and unique guitar.
When many people think of an electric guitar, this is the one that leaps to mind. The Stratocaster is one of the world's most popular guitars and is an elegantly versatile creation. Not long after Fender revolutionised music with the Telecaster and the Precision Bass, in 1954 they debuted the Stratocaster and it quickly became universally regarded as the archetypal electric guitar. Sleek and stylish aesthetics, smooth playing and tonally versatile, at the heart the Stratocaster remains a fantastic instrument - producing unmistakable sound with a timeless design. A first choice among players worldwide, there is simply nothing that sings, screams, whispers, moans, roars, rocks and rolls like a Fender Stratocaster.
