The Dean MAB4 offers everything that Michael Batio needs to deliver his killer shreds and striking lead licks. From its double cutaway body that was designed by Batio himself, to the lightweight construction and fast neck. Everything about this guitar is crafted for comfort, ease of access to the higher frets, and fluid hand movements across the entire fingerboard.

A Versatile Tonal Beast

To give you the same versatility and tonal power that Batio needs, the MAB4 Guitar is equipped with a set of DMT designed pickups. With two humbuckers at the bridge and neck, with a single-coil between, the signature Dean provides you with a plethora of powerful and punchy tones. No matter what you play, these pickups will handle anything - while excelling when it comes to hard rock and shredding.

With the choice between three pickups, you can create everything from thick rhythm sections to creamy lead lines. Select the bridge pickup to give your sound a thick, puny quality, or switch to the neck for a more warm and dynamic performance. The single-coil is perfect for deliver a sweet tone with plenty of definition and clarity.

Floyd Rose Special Tremolo

To give you more tonal possibilities, the Dean Michael Batio MAB is fitted with a classic Floyd Rose tremolo. With a design that's stood the test of time for over 30 years, the Floyd Rose provides you with stunning pitch shifting effects. Simply play with the removable whammy bar to adjust the string tension and pitch, letting you create unique sounds and iconic dive bombs.

Unlike non-locking tremolo's, the Floyd Rose bridge can make huge changes in pitch but still retain the initial tuning. This is achieved by adding a locking nut at the end of the headstock, preventing the strings from pulling on the machine heads and changing your tuning.

About Michael Angelo Batio

Born in 1956, Michael Angelo Batio is an American guitarist who started his career as the lead guitarists for glam metal band Nitro. Best known for his metal and neo-classical style of lead playing, Michael Angelo takes inspiration from a range of playing styles and genre's. Combining them to create his own lightning quick style.

Batio has released multiple tutorial videos, such as "Speed Kills" and "Master the art of playing lightning fast". He was also the first person to ever play a double guitar, using both of his hands to play two different guitars simultaneously.
