Constructed from a Basswood body with bolt on Maple neck the Hunter V is lightweight and produces a thick and dynamic tone with plenty of balance and power thanks to the soft and light nature of the wood. Additionally the C shaped Maple neck provides a smooth playability with a bright and punchy tone.
Loaded with two DMT Designed humbucking pickups in the bridge and neck position the Eric Peterson Hunter V delivers a powerful and punchy tone with plenty of bottom end and sparkling highs. Perfect for a range of playing styles and music genres the DMT Designed humbuckers particularly excel when used for hard rock and screaming lead licks.
The Hunter V incorporates a string-thru body construction to provide improved tonality and sustain by transferring vibrations and resonance from the string to the body as it goes over the tune-o-matic bridge and passes through the body.
Eric Peterson was born in 1964 and has since become an extremely influential guitar player in the trash metal world thanks to his rhythm playing for band Testament. Having spent over 32 years in the touring and writing music, Testament have sold over 1.4 million albums and are considered to be one of the most popular bands of the 1980s thrash metal music scene. Although favouring Gibson guitars for many years Eric recently gained an endorsement with Dean Guitars and has since released a range of signature models.
