This guitar is part of Yamaha's A-series range, the result of thousands of hours of development, prototyping, evaluations and field-testing combined with more than 50 years experience in crafting guitars. The A-Series construction was designed with input from players, luthiers and technicians with one goal in mind - to produce stunning tone. Rosewood provides striking low frequencies and sparkling highs, and the resonant dreadnought body assures a well projected and assured voice. This tone is then rendered and modelled by a 3-band EQ and preamp system, producing a studio-quality sound wherever you go.
The look of these guitars is designed like the sound - simple, elegant and powerful. Yamaha's trademark ultra-thin finish and handselected tonewoods combine with a craftsmen-designed construction process to create a guitar with incredible resonance and personality.
SRT Pickup
Yamaha's SRT pickup system is the result of painstaking studio research and development that you will not find anywhere else. The design of these pickups takes into account the characteristics of each individual string to give a signal response more sensitive to the tone and dynamics of your playing than a traditional ribbon piezo pickup. The signal is then processed and modelled using Yamaha's award-winning Digital Signal Processing to give you a studio sound even when on stage.
