View Full DescriptionA straight grained wood, Ash is tough yet flexible, ideal for making snare drums. Using Ash as inner ply and composite laminate produces a highly responsive shell with bags of attack. Ash has a short resonance with clipped sustain which give toms extra power, punch and projection. Ash shells are 6 ply and are available feature exclusive PET wrap finishes.
Natal was originally conceived in 1958 by distinguished British percussionist Alan Sharp who, unable to find the exact instruments he wanted to play, sourced their individual parts and assembled them himself. His bongos were of such high quality that orders began to flood in, eventaully leading to the foundation of the Natal Percussion Company in 1965. Natal is fully committed to producing drums and hardware of the highest standard of quality, and Natal percussion is used by top artists including Brian Downey (Thin Lizzy) and Ian Matthews (Kasabian).
